Make Me the Next Model 2011

This isn't me. This is my friend, Max. You can vote for him, or anyone else, in the Make Me the Next Model 2011 competition. You can enter too if you like, you have until 12 noon on Tuesday 28th June 2011. The prizes for the two winners are a £2000 shopping spree at Next, a photo-shoot for Next and an introduction to the Storm model agency.

Next learnt a lot from running the last model competition, yes, that baby competition, and they have sharpened up their social media presence. Last week I attended their Autumn Winter '11 collections preview, along with four other bloggers (and loads of fashion editors). We discussed the up-coming Next Blogger Network and how Next can work more effectively with parent bloggers.

Then we saw the clothes, beauty and home ranges that will be in the shops from the end of this month and online from mid-July. I was pleasantly surprised at the good value. I found quality clothes at reasonable prices. I particularly loved the young boys range.

And for myself, I need this hedgehog handbag!

Disclosure
Next paid my travel expenses to attend the AW11 event. I went home with a goody bag and a £25 Next voucher. Oh, and I had a manicure.

Next Baby Boutique Model Competition 2010

*** This competition is now closed ***

Do you have a beautiful smiley baby?

Could they be a model?

Next (in association with Prima Baby) have just launched a nationwide search for a ‘superbabymodel’. Well, two ‘super baby models’, actually. They’re looking for one newborn baby aged from birth to 18 months and one slightly older baby (19 months to 36 months max). Each has to have the cute grin or adorable smile that cameras love.

The competition is all happening on Facebook. Entrants will have their pictures posted in an online gallery and a public vote will determine the top 24 babies (12 from each age category) – all of whom will be invited to the photo shoot finale. Both winners will receive a £500 spending spree at Next and our winning models will participate in photo shoots for Next and Prima Baby magazine, plus win a year’s contract with top junior model agency, Urban Angels. Not bad at all!

Good luck if you're entering the competition!

The Next Face of Next?

This is a sponsored post.

The Next Generation Children’s Competition 2009 launched today on the Nextonline Facebook page. They are looking for pint-sized models who could be the new face of Next.

If you have a child who will be aged between 4 and 7 on 31st December 2009, that would like to take part, simply head on over to the Facebook page. All entry information is there.

The prizes are as follows:
  • The chance to star in a photo shoot for Next Directory
  • A childrenswear shoot for Red Magazine
  • Representation by the renowned Urban Angels Modelling Agency
  • A shopping spree at Next

Alongside the Children's Competition, Next are inviting children aged 0-16 to draw a picture showing “their wish” and upload a photo of the picture to the Make a Wish event on their Facebook page. A panel of judges at Next will choose the top fifty designs and the entrants responsible for the top designs will then be asked to submit their original drawings and join in all the fun of the competition final at Woburn Abbey on 21st December, when an overall winner will be selected. This design will be manufactured by Next, with sales benefiting the Make-a-wish Foundation.

Best of luck if your children enter either competition.
