The Pity Party is Over

Cobblers.

Normal service is resumed.

I went back to Slimming World today, thanks to Polly for dragging me along. I could have easily just given up, but I'm not a happy fatty.

So, I put on fifteen pounds in three weeks. Whatever. Nobody died.

I'm back on the diet healthy eating plan.

I'm going to see Dawn to get my head straight.

I'm sorry about the self-loathing in my last post. I've stopped now.

  1. Well done! And let's not forget how very far you have come *and* you've survived pneumonia!

And you know I'm always gonna be here for you :)

  2. Fantastic. Wanted to comment earlier nut my iPad doesn't let me comment on blogger. You've come so far and you have been through a lot recently! I am sure lots of people in your Slimming World group can relate and are more than happy to offer support. The most important thing is that you are back on track now. Well done!! xx

  3. Oh sweetie! You've been through quite a rough patch and you are allowed to complain. But you are taking the steps you need to take to get back to where you were before you were sidelined by illness. Sending you lots of hugs.

    1. @Gigi, thanks for the hugs, they are much appreciated. I think I need to be a little kinder to myself. x

  4. Hope you find this comment after all those weird anonymous ones about UGG boots!!

I've just read your two posts together and it strikes me that whenever weight is lost through illness, it isn't permanent, once you are better, it comes back, so don't beat yourself up about it. You've had a really tough time with illness, it's important to be healthy first.

It's good that you recognise that diet alone doesn't work; it's what's going on in your head. I know two people who went to Lighter Life for that reason and not only did they lose weight, they now have completely different, and healthier, relationsips with food.

I wish you good luck with your journey. WM x

    1. @Working Mum, yes, I found you. Blogger really needs to sort out the spam problem, loads slip through, and genuine comments aren't published. Grrr.

I know I should have more patience, but I am sick of being ill.

I'm pleased for your friends. I do feel so much better when I eat healthily. One day I'll have better relationship with food...
