Ten Things I Thought I'd Never Say




  1. I just ran 10k
  2. I love running
  3. I can't wait to run again
  4. I can't sit still for long
  5. I feel fit and strong
  6. I love going to the gym
  7. I enjoy getting hot and sweaty
  8. I love the buzz I get from being active
  9. I am full of energy
  10. I tried on those size 12 trousers, and they did up
I hardly recognise myself these days...

  6. I find you an absolute inspiration Sandy i have a lot of weight to lose but I will do it I want to look like you! (bet you dint think you'd hear that either. I saw you on some photos at blog camp you were always beautiful Sandy but now you look super healthy fit and beautiful too. What a great role model to your kids and to me! Thanks for sharing your very personal transformation. It gives me hope

  16. I'm so impressed, but what impresses me more than anything else is that it has made you happy - that you have paced yourself, that your determination has resulted in a happier, healthier you. That's brilliant - and sustainable :)

    1. @Chris, yes, I think that by taking things slowly it has made all the difference. This is a long term project. I will have to work at it for the rest of my life, but it will be worth it :)

  25. Yay!!! I love this post Sandy and I can whole heartedly agree with every single one... well except no. 10.. but I'm getting there - 1 dress size to go!! Running has changed my life this past year and I love it!!

    1. Ooh, Leanne, you're not far away. That's wonderful news. I'm still a size 14 really, but I wanted to see if I could get in the 12's. I need to lose a little more weight before they're a comfortable fit...
