The lovely Liz at Living With Kids has tagged me with her Infinite Playlist Meme.
The rules are to choose five songs that you can listen to over and over again.
Despite ten hours in the car this week (i.e. plenty of thinking time), I struggled to narrow my favourite songs into a top five. There are so many great tunes to choose from. I've done it though. These are my favourites as of today. Ask me again tomorrow and it could all change!
There is a theme to my infinite playlist. All of these songs can be sung along to at the top of your voice, especially in the car.
Here they are:
The Smiths - There is a Light That Never Goes Out
The Jam - The Bitterest Pill
Queen - Don't Stop Me Know
The Flaming Lips - Race for the Prize
Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman - Come What May (from Moulin Rouge)
What's on your infinite playlist?
I'm tagging the following five bloggers:
Sally at Who's The Mummy?
Carly at Wives and Daughters
Beth at My Good Life
Heather at Notes From Lapland
Nickie at Typecast

Great list! I can't hear "Don't stop me now" without thinking of that amazing scene in "Shaun of the dead: where they beat back the Zombies with pool cues!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, that Moulin Rouge track is my favourite! I very nearly managed to persuade Mr Mummyslife to have it as our wedding song, but he just couldn't really face it, way to camp for him. We had Neil Young instead. Great list. x
ReplyDeleteGeeky Mummy, I love Shaun of the Dead, it's so funny, especially that bit!
ReplyDeleteIt's a mummy's Life, it is a fabulous song. I walked down the aisle to the instrumental version of 'Your Song' from the MR soundtrack! x
come what may = love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for tagging me :) x
I really love your list. I know EVERY word to Don't Stop Me Now (we really must have a sing off sometime). And I loved the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Bitterest Pill though - what a total classic x
ReplyDeleteWADs, you're welcome, looking forward to your list x
ReplyDeleteLiz, I'm glad you like my choices. I'm up for karaoke if you are?! x
I'm so with you on "There is a light that never goes out." I love that song so much, I will never get tired of singing along to it.In fact I never get tired of The Smiths or The Jam.
ReplyDeleteIf we ever get around to another Manchester meetup, I know some karaoke bars in Chinatown...
Kath, you know, I had totally forgotten about our night out! Oops! BMB does karaoke sounds right up my street. One day we'll get round to organising something :-)
